Dental Prosthetics Market Size, Share & Trends Analysis | Asia-Pacific | 2015-2021 | MedSuite | Includes: Crowns, Bridges, Dentures, CAD/CAM Prosthetics & CAD/CAM Systems
This report covers the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, China, Japan and South Korea.
Growth of the dental prosthetics market is dependent on several demographic and lifestyle factors, including socioeconomic status (or income per capita), literacy level, marital status, tobacco use, alcohol consumption, hygiene practices, cultural beliefs and attitudes, and perceptions of oral health.
Demographics, tooth loss statistics, occurrences of coronal caries and the availability and extent of public sector supported dental care are all factors that directly affect the Asia-Pacific market for dental prosthetics.
The aging population will also play an important role in the growth of the market. Because periodontal disease, tooth decay and caries become more severe and more prevalent with age, older generations tend to have fewer natural teeth than younger ones. The aging of the population, however, is a relatively smooth and gradual trend.
Dental prosthetics have been available for centuries. The dental prosthetics market is in a mature phase and is experiencing stable growth.
Infusion Therapy Market Analysis, Size, Trends | Asia-Pacific | 2014-2020 | MedSuite
Infusion therapy devices are used for administering fluids or medication directly into a vein. Some disease states are too severe to be treated with oral medications, and must be treated intravenously. This is generally facilitated with an intravenous (IV) bag that is connected to a catheter inserted into a vein using plastic IV tubing. Infusion can be achieved simply through gravity drip, which uses gravity to introduce fluids into a patients vasculature or through the use of an electronic pump. Initially, connecting tubing to the catheter inserted into the patient was done by spiking a needle into a connector on the catheter. However, due to concerns over needlestick injuries and the increased incidence of infection when infusing with non-closed systems, some markets have shifted towards the use of needle-free connectors. Physicians now have the option of connecting the tubing to the inserted catheter using male luer connections and other connectors that accept blunt cannulas.
In 2013, the Asia-Pacific market for infusion therapy devices included volumetric infusion pumps, syringe infusion pumps, disposable infusion pumps, IV tubing sets, needleless connectors and stopcocks. These categories are segmented based on the type of displacement used, the type of infusion being performed and the type of medication and fluid infused. There are several other accessories commonly used during infusion therapy, such as disinfecting caps and three-way stopcocks; however, these arent included in the total market value for this report.
Additionally, needleless connectors are not included in the overall market value in this chapter, as they are present only in Australia and Japan, but not in South Korea. The information for each needleless connector market can be found in each countrys respective chapter.

The orthopedic large joint reconstruction device market includes hip reconstruction devices, knee reconstruction devices and bone cements used to help adhere the implants to bone. The Brazilian small bone & joint orthopedic market is comprised of the shoulder reconstruction, elbow repair, hand & wrist devices and foot & ankle devices market segments. This market is separate from the large joint and trauma markets, although the distinction is sometimes unclear. As a result, defining small joint devices can be challenging. Similar to large joints, many of the small joint devices are involved in elective procedures, and consequently these devices generally command higher selling prices. Conversely, the small joint device market is also similar to the trauma device market, where devices may not have high prices or significant price growth, but are involved in essential surgery and are always in demand. Small joints such as shoulders, elbows, hands and feet have not received as much attention as hip and knee treatments until recently, but have experienced strong and consistent growth because of the clinically underserved areas that they represent.

Orthopedic Braces and Support Devices Market Report Suite | United States | 2012-2018 | MedSuite
The U.S. bracing and supports market includes knee bracing and supports, ankle bracing and supports, spinal orthoses, back soft goods, upper extremity bracing and soft goods and pain management (including cold therapy and pain infusion pumps). Most of these markets are expected to experience slow to moderate growth because of an aging U.S. population, growing prevalence of obesity and osteoarthritis and increasing use of braces as prophylaxis to prevent sporting injuries. The knee bracing and supports market is expected to remain the largest segment, but overall growth will be driven by the spinal orthosis and pain management markets. The spinal orthosis segment is particularly fast-growing due to the strong correlation between an aging population and the incidence of lower back problems that may require spinal orthoses to prevent further injury or control stability post-surgery.
