Product Description

Overall, the global low-dose radiation brachytherapy market was valued at $102 million in 2024. This is expected to increase over the forecast period at a CAGR of 2.2% to reach $119 million.

The full report suite on the global market for low-dose radiation brachytherapy (LDRB) includes LDR needles and iodine-125 radioactive seeds. In LDRB, a needle is inserted through the perineum, and radioactive seeds are implanted into the prostate. Fluoroscopy and ultrasound are used to visualize the prostate gland for precise positioning of the needles. LDR radioactive seeds are permanent implants, designed to destroy tumor cells by damaging the cells’ deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). I-125 seeds are indicated for a range of tumor types, including superficial, intrathoracic, intra-abdominal, lung, pancreas, prostate and head and neck.
