DePuy Synthes’ product was sold as the FACET WEDGE system, which offered a minimally invasive alternative to standard posterior fixation. In 2012, Medtronic released the ANCHOR FS Facet Fixation System as they made a push to entrench themselves even further as one of the main market players in the MIS market. VGI developed its first product, the VerteLoc spine stabilization system, to overcome the limitations of other implants for spinal posterior element stabilization.
