Medical device giant Medline Industries, Inc. announced the acquisition Médi-Sélect, a Quebec City-based medical and dental supplies distributor to join its Medline Canada operations.
Médi-Sélect will remain an independent division of Medline Canada through 2020 and all current employees will continue in their current roles and responsibilities.
According to iData Research, the U.S. market for dental materials in rising as the American population is increasingly aware of the benefits of better oral health. This trend is resulting in more trips to the dental office for diagnostic and preventative procedures, such as x-rays and cleanings. This strategic acquisition allows for more product resources to be used in multiple dental markets.
