Biosimilars – A Game Changer in the Immunology Rheumatoid Arthritis Market

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease that affect joints, connective tissue, muscles, tendons and fibrous tissue. Around 1.9 million people in the United States suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. RA has a large impact on the quality of life, both physically and mentally. [...]Another issue with sutureless heart valves would be the population they can reach. The regular tissue heart valve market is fairly mature and sutureless heart valves do not add any new types of patients. Transcatheter heart valve replacement products are successful because they were able to reach a population of inoperable patients due to their risk status deterring them from open heart surgery (Hayashida, K. & Lefevre, T. 2011). So, while sutureless heart valves may be a better product, the market may not expand or grow and therefore only cannibalizes the existing stented and stentless tissue heart valve markets.

An ongoing trend driving market value is the increasing movement towards digitization in the dentures segment due to their relatively high average selling prices. The digital denture market encompasses both dentures that are produced via 3D printers and those developed from CAD/CAM technology. The rapid increases in metal prices, particularly gold, is also contributing to notable positive growth in the market. On the other hand, declines in the costly veneer market will slow total dental prosthetic market growth. “The denture market is largely carried by an...
