SI-BONE Inc. announced the publication of a single-center retrospective study of patients who underwent either sacroiliac joint fusion with triangular implants or sacroiliac joint fixation with cannulated screws. According to the press release, SI-BONE’s iFuse Implant System is a triangular shaped minimally invasive surgical device designed for sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion. Its unique triangular shape reportedly prevents rotational motion and has a porous surface that promotes bony ongrowth.
