Bone Densitometry

Bone Densitometry

Bone densitometry is a procedure that measures the bone density, which is a measurement of the status of the bone often used to detect and follow osteoporosis. There are a number of ways to conduct bone density testing. It is most often done with a dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) system, which has become the standard in bone mineral density scanning.
